Meet Joey Escobar
A Lifetime in Martial Arts
Joey Escobar comes from a family of fighters. He began boxing at a young age with his father, professional boxer Peter Escobar, and started training in Tang Soo Do under Chuck Norris at age eight alongside his sister Kathy.
Joey went on to become a highly accomplished tournament and professional fighter. He opened his first studio in the 1980s and has been teaching martial arts and boxing ever since. In 2015, he came out of retirement to compete at the World Championships in Las Vegas, winning across the 30s, 40s and 50s age divisions.
